Two filters
The liquid-phase filter sits in the line from the cylinder to the reducer, the vapour-phase filter between the reducer and the injectors. Both every 10–15 thousand km or once a year. Cost: filters in the catalogue 1,500–4,000 ֏; replacement takes minutes.
Injectors
A dirty injector opens late: the engine runs rough at idle or jerks under acceleration. Cleaning and calibration every 30–40 thousand km.
The reducer
After 60–80 thousand km the reducer diaphragm loses its elasticity — pressure wanders, consumption rises. The repair kit is cheap if done in time.
Leak testing
At every service we check the joints with a detector. A smell of gas in the cabin or boot is the one case to come at once rather than wait for the next service.
Signs it is time
- The engine drops to petrol by itself under acceleration
- Consumption on gas has noticeably risen
- Idle is uneven
- A smell of gas — immediately
