Who it suits
Drivers whose methane cylinder fills the whole boot, or whose route has few methane stations.
How long it takes
Usually one to two working days, depending on the car and how much old equipment has to come out.
What changes
The methane cylinder, the high-pressure line and the reducer come out. In go an LPG cylinder — toroidal or cylindrical — a reducer-vaporiser, a multivalve, a filter and a filler valve. The ECU is re-mapped for liquid gas.
Paperwork
The new cylinder needs periodic testing with a certificate. We do that here too.
